Forget magnolia paint: some developers are spending £1 million dressing up their latest properties — and it’s working.

Purchasers now have higher expectations for the quality of build and the design of their shiny new home. Show homes are now big business: ten years ago they were a rather basic and bland visualisation of what you could expect. Now developers invest anywhere between £20,000 and a £1 million to make them less like a sterile box and more like the home that will make all your hard graft at the office worthwhile.
